Introduction to Patriots Point

The best overnight shipboard camping experience is at Patriots Point! For more than 30 years, Scouts have been staying aboard the awe-inspiring aircraft carrier, the USS YORKTOWN. Campers sleep in the berths that sailors once occupied and immerse themselves into the lives of heroes. With packages that include lodging, meals and an educational activity, your group is sure to have an unforgettable stay.

  • 2 nights of camping $96 pp, boarding Friday afternoon (B,L,D,B)

  • 1 night of camping $ 76 pp, boarding Saturday 10 am (L,D,B)

  • Groups must board the ship together Friday afternoon & Saturday morning

  • Attendees must be 6 years or older

  • Sleeping quarters are gender specific, so mom's attending with their son's would be sleeping in separate areas. One adult must camp with each child between the ages of six and ten

  • 3-4 Meals included in price. Vending machines available for snack purchases. No personal food allowed on-board, unless food allergy paper work completed

  • 1 Educational activity included - Aviation: Puddle Jumpers (ages 6-9), Flight Academy (ages 10+)

  • Additional activities available ($2 - $5 pp): Ship Shape Scavenger Hunt, Flight Motion Simulator, Climbing wall & Audio Tour

  • There is no parking fee for those camping overnight aboard the USS YORKTOWN

General Information about this Camping Trip

When: Group 1: Jan. 26, 2018. Arrival on Friday before 2 pm to board ship

Group 2: Jan. 27, 2018. Arrival on Saturday before 10 am to board ship

Where: USS Yorktown in Charleston Harbor, 40 Patriots Point Road Mount Pleasant, SC 29464

Who: Pack 732 scouts and family's (6 years & older)

Food: Provided by Patriots Point as outlined above for 1 - 2 night camping

Activities: Aviation activity include in registration fee, additional activities need to be confirm & paid for 2-3 weeks prior to trip. Minimum of 10 people require for any additional activities

What to bring: Sleeping bag or linens for twin bed, pillow, personal toiletries, towel/wash cloth, closed toed shoes, Class A & B Scout uniforms, additional change of clothes

What NOT to bring: No flame producing products, Alcohol, drugs, firearms, sheath knives, fireworks
